# Hybrid TBL Team Setup

Hi everyone,

For those running Team-Based Learning in hybrid classrooms, we’re curious how you handle **team composition**.

Do you typically create teams so that they are:

I have tried hybrid teams. It doesn’t work well and I wouldn’t recommend it. Sometimes you need to due to eg illness etc - and better to have a hybrid team than to reconfigure the teams (which is even worse). Having a pure online team does work well, though you do have to figure out how to include them properly in the debrief
