I am a pharmacist who now works in academia for the University of Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK.
I am sure you know the pharmacy department for its use of TBL for pharmacy and other disciplines for many years with the driving force from my esteemed colleagues SimonTweddell and Gemma Quinn.
I too have used TBL for delivery of teaching to UG and PG students but my latest interest comes from the ability to deliver it to distance learning students synchrnonously (S) and asychronously (AS). I would not say it has been a smooth transition and has often required tweeks. There is much still to do to achieve the optimum way of delivery from the point of view of; distance learning engagement; S versus AS; use of multiple learning enviroments to aid delivery and optimum flexibity for mature, working students.
Hence why I am keen to be involved in TBL Community Forum discussions and learning. If I can help others in any way with what I have learnt over the past years then I am very happy to share this too.
