Invitation to Participate in Research on Accommodations and Universal Design in TBL

Greetings TBL Users,

The information below is part of a research study exploring how principles of accommodations and universal design are applied in Team-Based Learning (TBL). We invite your participation and encourage you to forward this message to your colleagues who use TBL to help broaden our data collection.

The purpose of this study is to explore the strategies and approaches used to support learner accommodations and implement universal design in TBL. Accommodations refer to reasonable adjustments in teaching and testing strategies to support students with disabilities or varying learning needs. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) focuses on inclusive, accessible adaptations that benefit all learners.

This 15–30 minute survey will gather data on your awareness of general and TBL-specific accommodations, and invite you to share how these strategies either support or hinder the effective implementation of TBL activities. We believe the findings will be of value to TBL facilitators who are working to make TBL more inclusive and accessible.

Your responses will remain confidential. Aggregated findings and representative quotes may be shared with the TBL community, in professional journals, and at academic conferences. You may withdraw from this study at any time, for any reason, without fear of penalty.
