Hi!
I’m thrilled to announce that we have surpassed 250 members! As our community continues to expand, fostering vibrant discussions on team-based learning becomes even more crucial. To better organize our space and enhance your experience, we are excited to introduce a new structure using categories and tags.
Understanding Categories and Tags:
-
Categories: Think of these as the main sections of a newspaper—fixed and clearly defined by the staff to organize content into distinct areas. For example, sports, business, etc. While they provide structure, they can also limit flexibility if overused.
-
Tags: These are the flexible, lightweight tools you can use to further detail and refine topic classifications. For example, within sports section, there can be discussion about football, tennis, basketball, fitness, athletes, etc. Unlike categories, tags can be created by any community member and applied across various topics, without creating restrictive barriers.
For a deeper dive into how categories and tags work, feel free to read this insightful article.
Proposed Community Structure: To simplify navigation and ensure content is easy to find, we propose the following categories:
- Team-Based Learning
- InteDashboard
- Events and Workshops
- Video Library
- TBL Resources
- Introduction to the Community
Tags: You’ll have the freedom to create tags when posting. This allows you to categorize your topics more precisely under the broader categories. For example:
- Topic Title: Peer Evaluation in TBL
- Category: Team-Based Learning
- Tag: peer-evaluation
This structure not only helps organize content but also lets popular tags potentially evolve into full categories based on their usage.
Tags have been categorized by groups. You can find the tag list here. So whenever you are posting, help the community by self-organising the community by adding the relevant tag or creating a new one!
We Want to Hear from You: What do you think about this proposed structure? Your feedback is invaluable, and we’re keen to hear your thoughts. Please share your opinions, ideas, or any concerns you might have. Let’s make our community platform more intuitive and user-friendly together!
Looking forward to your responses!
