Building on the discussion started by Brian, I thought I’d share additional insights from the participants of our recent Inclusive Team-Based Learning with InteDashboard workshop.
Karla Kubitz from Towson University shares one of her challenges with providing time-related accommodations. Since she does iRAT and tRAT in the same 50-minute class session, she typically has students who need time accommodations take their iRATs sometime before class starts.
Alternatively, Rebecca Greenblatt from SUNY Upstate shares that they give their accommodations students the iRAT at home the night before.
What strategies do you use to do iRAT for accommodation students in your classroom? Share your insights below!
When it comes to tRAT specifically, Julie Donnelly from University of Central Florida shares that using the attendance feature can be helpful in accommodating students during the tRAT. Students can participate with their team via text or FaceTime, but their team can make sure only the members who participated are marked “present.”
Have you experimented with accommodating students during the tRAT? We would love to hear any strategies you have to share!
