Dr. Sarada Bulchand is a scientist and educator at Duke-NUS Medical School. She conducts faculty development workshops at the Academic Medicine-Education Institute and develops curriculum for the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute. As lead of the Career Development Program she coaches and mentors students and postdoctoral fellows.

:rocket: During this session Dr. Sarada Bulchand shared how they effectively use InteDashboard to enhance Team-Based Learning across various programs at Duke-NUS Medical School. They implement TBL in premed and MD courses, as well as in faculty development workshops, with InteDashboard playing a crucial role in streamlining the TBL process.

:bulb: Dr. Bulchand shared her experiences using InteDashboard from a facilitator’s perspective, noting how its intuitive features have been instrumental in enhancing teaching effectiveness and learning outcomes. She demonstrated how InteDashboard’s real-time feedback allows her to monitor student responses during activities and adjust teaching strategies as needed. This immediate insight is crucial for identifying learning gaps and ensuring that educational objectives are met effectively. She also highlighted how the platform supports the design and management of application exercises, encouraging students to apply theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios and ensuring enhance learning outcomes.

:face_with_monocle: Dr. Bulchand also discussed the e-Gallery Walk feature on InteDashboard, which promotes interactive learning by allowing students to post their responses to complex problems and engage in a peer-review process. She highlighted that conducting orientation sessions that include mock TBL activities to familiarize participants with the process and the technology is crucial for maximizing the benefits of TBL. This helps everyone understand the value and functionality of the methodology and the tools involved, ensuring smoother implementation and more effective learning experiences.
