Dear colleagues,
I’m excited to invite you to my upcoming workshop with Dr. Maria Sheakley, Managing Cognitive Load in Team-Based Learning, happening on Sep 17 at 9 am EDT / 2 pm BST.
In this session, we will examine the three types of cognitive load and discuss how to design TBL sessions that enhance student content mastery while minimizing cognitive overload.
Learning objectives:
● Understand the principles of Cognitive Load Theory (CLT).
● Differentiate between intrinsic, extraneous, and germane cognitive loads.
● Apply solutions to reduce extraneous cognitive load, manage intrinsic cognitive load, and increase germane cognitive load in TBL.
You can save your spot for the workshop through this link.
We look forward to having you with us!
Gustavo
