Do you know of any of the following features on InteDashboard? Which of them would enhance the learning environment in your classroom? Vote your answers!
- Self-assign groups – Let students choose their own teams instead of assigning them manually.
- Edit answers post-activity – Modify IRAT/TRAT answers or text even after the activity is completed.
- Add Hints & Explanations – Use hints & explanations to create activities where learners can self-learn, and provide further explanation to them.
- Anonymous Presentation Mode – Hide team and student names when sharing responses during class presentations.
Alternatively, if there are any others you’d want others to know more about, feel free to share them in the comments! 
HInts and explanations are particularly useful in pre learning activities. Can be useful in applications too I would imagine. All the other options I think would actually harm student learning.

Hi Steve! Firstly, great observations— you’ve raised some really thoughtful points, and we appreciate you engaging with the poll! We realized that the way the poll was worded might have led to some misunderstandings around the purpose of a few features. To clarify, here’s how these features were designed to support teaching and learning:
- Self-Assign Groups: This feature isn’t about letting students freely choose their own teams. Teachers still need to create the teams and assign students to them. But instead of manually dragging and dropping students to respective teams, instructors can now share a link so that students can select and enter pre-assigned groups.
- Anonymous Presentation Mode: Some other institutions find it useful to anonymize results because it can encourage students to speak up more. This is designed to reduce bias and social pressure during in-class discussions by hiding team and student names when presenting responses in IRAT, TRAT, or Application activities. It’s particularly helpful in encouraging open dialogue—especially when discussing sensitive or contentious topics.
- Edit Answers Post-Activity: This feature supports instructional flexibility. It lets you update correct answers or accept alternative valid responses that may arise during class discussions. Rather than rerunning an activity, it ensures assessments reflect actual learning without penalizing thoughtful contributions.
We completely agree that Hints and Explanations shine in pre-learning and can be quite powerful in applications too!
We’re really curious to hear more about your perspective—especially how you feel the other features might negatively impact the student learning experience. Could you kindly elaborate your thoughts on that?
Ah, OK, I get it. Auto sign up to groups would be a useful timesaver. I can also see the merit in anonymous presentation, and of the sugested changes this would be the best.. I suppose the edit answers post activity would be most useful in graded activities. I personally wouldn’t find this that useful, most of my applications are formative. I might want to change scoring for the RAT but only post appeal and therefore only for selected teams. hth.

I would really like to see the ability to edit questions and responses Post-Activity. This can be very useful if you notice a typo or an ambiguous question. It would be nice to be able to fix it while it is fresh rather than hoping you’ll remember next time you run the module. I had a case today where students noticed a typo, but I couldn’t fix it.
I did use the anonymous presentation mode today to cover some of the tRAT questions. I found it very helpful.
